Youth Exchange “ART Vs. Hate” in Bansko, Bulgaria (November 8th-16th 2016)

From November 8th to 16th 2016, Asociación PROJUVEN participated in the Erasmus+ project “ART Vs. Hate” in Bansko (Bulgaria), organized by Alternativi International (Bulgaria) and Praxis Europe (UK).

The “ART Vs. Hate” project is a Youth Exchange involving 39 young people from 6 countries: UK, Italy, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Spain and Turkey. The main aims of the exchange are raising awareness among young people and helping them understand better what hate speech is and that it can actually lead to hate crime and other sequences. Also is important informing young people how to efficiently fight against hate speech in non violent way and presenting graffiti as an effective way to combat hate speech. Informing young people about NO HATE SPEECH MOVEMENT of CoE and stimulating the active participation of young people towards hate speech by becoming activists against hate speech. Of course, promoting tolerance, mutual understanding and dialogue between young people from different nationalities.
