During the KA1 training course “Turning waste into worth” (TWIW) that took place in Torremolinos, Spain between 16-22 of October, youth workers had the task to raise awareness in the community about environmental topics. How we did this?
After several days of non-formal activities, participants from the training were challenged with the creation of their own environmental awareness campaigns. Together in groups, using their creativity, they created different slogans that they wrote on used cartons, and went around the center of Torremolinos and its seafront. The main idea of this campaigns was to make people understand the fragility of our environment and the importance of its protection as well as make them think why we don’t have to use plastic and what alternatives do we have.
