Hello Cesare, would you give us your opinion about the project?

It was a great pleasure for me to participate at this project and to have opportunity to improve my competence and to learn something new. I am delighted by the possibility to so immediately upon arrival having the opportunity to learn from the experience you all will bring into this project. Every presentation and workshop had a contribution to one of my positions, tasks and responsibilities, and also I could gain very useful knowledge related to my professional development and success. As a president of Progetto Europa, non-profit organization, situated in Lamezia Terme, Calabria I have participated in a lot of project around Europe, but I can say that that was one of my best. Thank you to Asociación Projuven for the great and inspiration atmosphere. It’s always nice to work with such a great group of professionals and I hope we will have a chance to continue to cooperate with you in the future.

What does “diversity” mean for you?

For me diversity is learning from others that aren’t the same as me. Diversity is much more than just the surface qualities of race or gender- it’s acceptance, understanding and respect of those unique qualities. In my opinion we should encourage and use those differences to create a cohesive community and effective workforce. This means valuing and taking account of people’s different backgrounds, needs and experiences.

Can you give us your idea on how to resolve problems related to diversity?

For me the education is the most powerful way to achieve it. Through non-formal education as this project, we can change the stereotypes and get knowledge about how to understand people’s cultures, promote engagement with others, and build strong, diverse communities.
