Youth Exchange „YOU(th) can do it smart!” in Cerasu, Romania

From 8th of May to 17th of May 2017, the representatives of Asociación Projuven took part in the Erasmus+ project „YOU(th) can do it smart!” in Cerasu, Romania, implemented by Asociatia Se Poate. Young people coming from Italy, Malta, Romania, Slovak Republic and Spain discussed youth participation and good governance.

„YOU(th) can do it smart!” aimed to create a neutral space for intercultural dialogue, non-formal learning, knowledge and civic involvement, willing to raise the level of involvement and empowerment of young participants. The project tried to help and to develop the level of competences related to smart governance principles.

The young people had opportunity to promote good practices from their countries on youth participation and initiatives promoting smart governance. Previous to the mobility, they prepared examples of participation from their communities across Europe and as a result, a guide with the good practices will be realized and published online.

During the 9 days of project, the participants discovered the city of Brasov, interacted with local people and mainly, they got to know each other, sharing pieces of their cultures, raising the level of intercultural dialogue among them and creating long-lasting friendships, partnership and an alumni group of the first edition of „YOU(th) can do it smart!”.

The project was coordinated by Asociatia Se Poate, non-governmental organization focused on youth and education based in Romania, in partnership with the following organizations: Istituto Suore Pie Operaie dell’Immacolata Concezione (Italy), Active Youth (Malta), Slovak Youth for Traveling, Education and Volunteering (Slovakia) and Asociacion Projuven (Spain). The implementation was supported by European Union through the Erasmus+ Programme.
