Projuven coordinated the KA1 project “Skills 4 Success” in Torremolinos, Spain

From 22nd to 28th of November, In the framework of the KA1 project “Skills 4 Success” (S4S), Asociación Projuven had the pleasure to host in Torremolinos, Spain, 19 young people coming from six different European countries such as Poland, Lithuania, Hungary, Italy, Bulgaria and Spain.

The project aimed to create innovative resources for youth work and equip youth workers with the necessary skills to manage a project in the most efficient way. S4S was focused on promoting high-quality youth work providing youth workers all the necessary knowledge and Project Management (PM) tools to prove the benefits of an effective and proper PM and depict situation of the awareness and usage of different PM methodologies and tools in non-profit sector.

During the project activities participants had the chance to know more about the work which is behind the organisation of S4S project and all Erasmus Plus project in general. Youngsters were introduced to different PM topics such as the five phases of project management, project management risks, project management triangle and its elements (time, cost and scope). We had some hours dedicated to the design of application form, the importance of dissemination and follow-up activities and execution of the budget. During two of our morning sessions we presented to the participants some of the best project management tools for youth workers and after this we gave them the chance to elaborate their own project working together in a team. Thanks of the gained knowledge and active participation of all the participants, we achieved very good results and received a lot of great ideas from our young people.

A lot of outdoor activities and informal games helped our youngsters get in touch with the local community. We had some afternoon session on the beach of Torremolinos where participants presented their sending organization during NGOs Fair, played some non-formal games and elaborate their photo, video campaign thanks to the activity “Photo Safari”.

In our last day together, we had a conference where the participants divided in teams presented their project proposal and all together we made an evaluation discussing the different parts of each project. Concerning the Youthpass, it was released at the end of training to all participants and last session of the training was dedicated to the explanation of Youthpass and Erasmus+ opportunities.
