#PJstories – Interview with Rebeka Capelova

Rebeka participated in the Training Course “Rights are 4 All” organized by PROJUVEN in Benalmádena, Spain

Hello Rebeka! Can you give us your opinion about the project “Rights are 4 All“? What is the most important thing you have learned during the training course?

During the whole week we had multiple discussions where we learnt how it is the situation in each country regarding discrimination and rights for minorities. It was interesting to see that sometimes we share the same issue or that we should take more inspiration from each other but there is always space to improve. We also had so many non formal learning activities where we could express our opinion safely and get to know each other better.

Why is promoting minority human rights so necessary and why must we fight for equality?

It is the majority´s job to help minorities to hear their voices. As a majority we should be grateful for what we have and always help the ones that need it and spread awareness!! I think that the world where everyone is equal would be such a beautiful world full of kindness. Everyone has a right to be treated with dignity and respect.

How do you plan to share your new knowledge and awareness acquired in your local community?

Definitely having more open conversations with people around me. I will be less afraid to discuss my point of view and I won’t mind confronting people if I hear something questionable. I would also like to start a discussion on this topic among youngsters in my class so they see that it is really important to talk about that.
