#PJstories – Interview with Dieu Ky Anh Nguyen

Dieu Ky Anh Nguyen participated in the Training Course “Rights are 4 All” organized by PROJUVEN in Benalmádena, Spain

Hello Kuki! Can you give us your opinion about the project “Rights are 4 All“? What is the most important thing you have learned during the training course?

The main aim of the training course “Rights Are 4 All” was to develop knowledge and skills about human rights and how it influences minorities across Europe. We had discussions regarding the topics of discrimination, equality, integration and many more. It was very interesting to see that each country deals with minorities differently but the most important thing that I have learned was that learning from each other is a very powerful and useful tool at our disposal.

Why is promoting minority human rights so necessary and why must we fight for equality?

Minority rights serve to accommodate vulnerable groups and to bring all members of society to an equal level in the exercise of their human and fundamental rights. European history has shown that the protection of national minorities is essential to stability, democratic security and peace in this continent.

How do you plan to share your new knowledge and awareness acquired in your local community?

I plan to have discussions regarding the topic of minority human rights in my local community and to raise awareness about it. I would also like to try to implement some interesting solutions of the other countries to the problem of discrimination, inequality and integration.
