#PJstories – Interview with Sergiu Semenciuc

Sergiu participated in the Training Course “Stay safe in cyber space” organized by PROJUVEN in Torremolinos, Spain

Hello Sergiu! Can you give us your opinion about the project “Stay safe in cyber space“?

This project represented not only a way of improving my knowledge but also a whole experience that contributes to my evolution as an individual. It was a time of discovering, learning and researching towards the topic we all showed interest in. I think it was a successful project and fulfilled all its aims by the end. Getting to understand the topic better, becoming more aware, getting useful information, making new friendships, discovering new cultures and creating boundaries are some of the key  headlines of the experience that help us build and contribute to our European values as EU citizens. I would happily repeat the experience and I am very thankful for this opportunity.

What are your tips on staying safe online?

Staying safe online will always be a tricky question if you ask me, but there are some tips you always have to take into consideration when online.  First of all, do not post if you do not want that information to be accessible to everybody, the footprint of your online behavior will forever exist no matter the action you take after posting. Always think if it brings any value or if it has a reason. Your private life is your private life and should not be all over the internet, regardless of how much you want to share your experience, in this way you will always be exposed to unpleasing situations. Be responsible and aware of your actions. Spread only good thoughts and use the internet for good reasons.

What is the most important thing you have learned during the training? How do you plan to share and use your knowledge?

I have learned a lot of information during the training, and was exposed to differents opinions and points of view based on each participants background. I think the most important thing besides the informational part is inclusion and how to cooperate effectively with people.

I am going to share my knowledge by sharing my experience in the NGO´s I activate, creating some workshops on the topic together.
