Hello Robert! Can you give us your opinion about the project “No more time 4 hate”?
In my opinion the project ”No more time 4 hate” was very insightful and also very mind opening. I am saying this because approached one important problem regarding the nowadays society.
Why should we fight/be aware of online hate speech? Is it a danger for our society?
First we should be aware of this phenomenon because if we are not aware, we can’t fight it. Raising awareness on this topic is important because the majority of people don’t even know how to react on newness and diversity. On the other hand, fighting hate speech is relevant because we need to level up the standards of social interaction and inclusion. One more important thing regarding the danger of hate speech is that the action can induce depression, social exclusion and even growth of suicidal tendency amongst young people.
What is the most important thing you have learned during the project?Are you going to apply some methods/knowledge in your local community?
The most important things that I’ve learned during the project is how to combat hate speech, and more important, learning new non-formal methods of preventing hate speech in the first place. I am going to apply some methods and knowledge in my local community with the help of student council.
