#PJstories – Interview with Noémi Szabó

Noémi participated in the Training Course Youth Diplomats” organized by PROJUVEN in Torremolinos, Spain

Hello Noémi! Can you give us your opinion about the project “Youth Diplomats”?

I really enjoyed the project „Youth Diplomats”. I study law so it was a very useful topic for me. I heard lots of new information about how diplomacy works in the EU. On the other hand the project leaders and the participants were nice, it was a pleasure to work with them.

Why should we care about youth diplomacy?

I think it is very important to be able to communicate peacefully and work in team well to solve the (somtetimes searious) problems. I think this is what a diplomat do. We should learn about other nations, about other thougths and opinions, and after we can find peacful solutions for all the problems. In my opinion it is not a simple method, we should practice and get to know the different types of situations.

What is the most important thing you have learned during the project?

I learnt a lot about the participant’s culture and about the way they thinking. It was very interesting to me. I heard so much new information about their politics, social problems and youth generation’s problems. I learnt that one or two opinions is not enough to decide well in a political or social situation.
