#PJstories – Interview with Emel Emin

Emel participated in the Training Course Youth Diplomats” organized by PROJUVEN in Torremolinos, Spain

Hello Emel! Can you give us your opinion about the project “Youth Diplomats”?

The project “Youth Diplomats” was a great expirience for me because I have the opportunity to learn new things about diplomacy and peacebuilding. In the same time it met me with people from different countries, cultures and area of work who I will remember always because all of them give me something new to know, which me made more open-minded and rich by knowledge about life at all.

Why should we care about youth diplomacy?

We should care about youth diplomacy because young people are the new future. It is not a wish, it is MUST that young people should learn about diplomacy and to find way how their skills could help build peace around the globe. People should learn how to resolve their differences, they should spread love and peace and not to make wars. Fighting would not help anyone for a good. Everyone has different points of view about life, relegion and etc. but in the end of the day all we are humans who have feelings, doubts, wishes and if we use them right we could make changes for better tomorrow.

What is the most important thing you have learned during the project?

The project “Youth Diplomats” gave me new knowledge about diplomacy, what is happening around the world and how young people can be involved in solving the problems around us by peacebuilding and understanding the differences.
