
The kick off meeting of our new Capacity Building project “The women get back” is currently taking place in Barcelos, Portugal.
Coordinator of the project is Intercultural Association Mobility Friends from Portugal and the other partners NGOs are Asociación Projuven from Spain, Futuro Digitale from Italy, GEYC from Romania, Alternativi International from Bulgaria, Juventud Gangitana de Rosario from Argentina, Fundación Marijn from Nicaragua, Puente SUR Paraguay from Paraguay, Brigada De Voluntarios Bolivarianos del Peru from Peru and Cultura e Lazer from Brasil.
The overall objective of the project is to transfer to youth workers innovative training methodologies to improve guidance and counselling, vocational and professional training in EU and Latin America for young women returning to work after a hiatus in their careers, as a result of maternity, illness, unemployment, or who are in a situation of self-employment. The project aims at fostering the use of ICT and wishes to encourage the use of these tools applied to this target group to improve the quality of learning, provide access to resources and services online, providing feedback on progress and create the conditions for increasing skills and self‐esteem of women in situations of crisis and with difficulties in gaining access to a profession.
The project includes different Job Shadowing activities in Europa and Latin America, TC for youth workers in Málaga, Spain (host by PROJUVEN) and also youth exchange who will take place in Peru and will gather together 50 young people, 5 per partner NGO.
