We asked participants that recently took part in the training course “Say no to Islamophobia” about their opinions.
We asked them:
- About their opinion regarding “Say no to Islamophobia”
- Do you think Islamophobia is a threat for our society?
- What can we do to combat Islamophobia?

My opinion is very positive about this poject. Starting from the activities, which were organised very thoughtful, meaningful things were presented in very funny way, finishing with our free time and all atmosphere that was created there. Project was small world for a week and it was pleasure to be part of it.
It is very difficult question, especially in these days after attacks in mosques in New Zealand. I would love to rebute this statement, but unfortunately, at least in these days it is still a threat. That`s why it was so important to organise this project and is important to spread the idea of equality and talk about this as much as possible, because only because of that maybe one-day situation will be changed.
As I mentioned before, the first step is to talk in interested groups of people, have a lot of different ideas and after all, the most important is to take an action: integrate those people in our communities, show the rest of the world that they are not different and they still are human beings, who deserve their right to live.

It was a very interesting topic to speak about because it’s something real that nowadays continue happening. Also, sharing different points of view of people from other countries teach you and makes you more open minded. Trainers made a very good job showing us the reality in a dynamic way, so it was funny and useful too.
For sure it is. It’s a different name to call racism, and I think is very difficult to abolish because it’s something from your mind, something you learn unconsciously and it could generate a war.
First of all, we have to work our own prejudices, speaking with other people from other countries and cultures, travelling, … And then, we should share our experiences to show the others different points of view.

I really enjoy the project, in a beautiful place. I think that 20 people for a project it is a good number because you can get to know better all of them. I did the activity with interest and happy mood. All of them were good and focused about the topic. The activities gave us the opportunity to share our ideas and ask about the topic.
Islamophobia Is a threat for our society. It is a problem without boarder and the society must respond to this problem. However, it is difficult because there are many causes and unfortunately it will be a long process to combat islamophobia
To tackle this issue we need a society response: to combat the fake news, to combat the prejudice, to combat episode of racism. It is also very important to be informed and to understand the reality better, don´t falling in the trap of the populist party.
