#PJstories – Interview with Stefano Fiore

Stefano participated in the Training Course “Good Jobs Green Jobs” organized by PROJUVEN in Benalmádena, Spain

Hello Stefano! Can you give us your opinion about the project “Good Jobs Green Jobs“?

It has been an amazing experience to meet people from different cultures. Indeed, it was my first experience in such a context and coming to meet such diversity was a great opportunity to learn truly how diverse and beautiful Europe is. Furthermore, learning more about green jobs will surely be an interesting asset for my future.

Why is promoting the green economy so crucial? How can the green and just transition benefit the job career of young people?

I believe that, to ensure the safety of our environment, our current economy and way of thinking has to change. In this optic, green jobs are needed to make our system pivot into a greener system. Indeed evolving towards a greener society is simply the natural way in which society has to advance. Therefore, preparing the youth and their careers for this transition should be a priority.

What is the most important thing you have learned during the training? How do you plan to share and use your knowledge?

I have learnt that Europe is so diverse, which is something that we tend to forget. However, I would say that the most important thing I have learnt is that there are many market opportunities for creative green projects that just need to be assessed more deeply. I plan to try and start-up some of these ideas and I plan to propose this kind of experience to many people close to me in Belgium. As a matter of fact I believe it is an experience that most people should at least live once.
