#PJstories – Interview with Paula Lozano

Paula participated in the Youth Exchange “We are all equal in creativity” in Faenza, Italy

Hello Paula! Can you give us an overall opinion on the project  “We are all equal in creativity”?

“We are equal in creativity” was a great experience. The combination of the good atmosphere between the participants and the organizers, the impeccable organization of the activities and the enchanting environment in which we found ourselves has made this project something really special for all of us who were there. We all feel that we have grown personally a little more after this week and that we have created something special that will help us to follow the path of cooperation, integration and development. All this thanks to the affection and the good disposition of all those who have taken care of us these days, making us learn while we were having a great time. So I can say that it has been an enriching and charming experience in every way.

How did the group affect your personal experience during this youth exchange?

Being constantly in touch with people from different countries is addictive. You feel so reflected in them and, at the same time, so different, that it is impossible to not want more. The exchange of ideas and cultural differences are so interesting that you feel an infinite curiosity growing inside you. Personally, I believe this experience has reaffirmed my desire to discover not only the Europe that surrounds me, but the whole world, so that I can continue to grow as a person and in society.

What is the most important thing you have learned during the project?

I think that what I have left of this project could be summed up in that phrase of “many small people in small places, doing small things can change the world” (Eduardo Galeano). I think we have all learned that together we work better and we go further. It is important to know oneself to know what it can offer the world and, in this way, to move towards building more cooperative and humanitarian societies.
