#PJstories – Interview with Karina Dimova

Karina participated in the Training Course Youth Diplomats” organized by PROJUVEN in Torremolinos, Spain

Hello Karina! Can you give us your opinion about the project “Youth Diplomats”?

“Youth Diplomats”  is the first training course in which I participated. It was a great experience  for me. Firstly I think that the topic is very current .  There is a lot to discuss and think about it.  Our trainer introduced the topic very well and challenged us to debate and rise our opinions. Secondly the non-formal games were such a pleasure to go back to the childhood , but like an adults, with logic and cooperation. And finally the organization of the project .. The great team, our hosts Debora and Francesco, did their best to  make the project useful and also fun .  Very well organized schedule, some beach activities, and friendly environment.

Why should we care about youth diplomacy?

Nowadays when we are all connected, traveling free around the world, have free access to information , it is very important to know how to communicate and behave with the different cultures. We have to live in peace if we want to live well. The diplomacy is the way to achieve it.

What is the most important thing you have learned during the project?

As this was my first training course , I learned better to express myself in front of a multicultural public. It was useful to find out the opinion of these different people about a common problems and find together a solution. For sure it will be a pleasure for me to attend again such a project.
