Eszter participated in the Training Course “Turning waste into worth” organized by PROJUVEN in Torremolinos, Spain
Hello Eszter! Can you give us your opinion about the project “Turning waste into worth“?
All in all, I believe the project was an outstanding one. The information we could get to know was useful and deep enough about circular economy and handling waste. I extremely liked the fact that first we familiarised ourselves with the necessary theory, then we put the learned things into practice. The project was well-organized regarding the material and the circumstances as well (food, accommodation, team-buildin etc.). I am totally satisfied and I feel I learned about an important topic a lot even though I already had a basic knowledge about it, also, I will be able to develop it later too. We used many different tools, methods, approaches and come up with ideas to dig deeper and find possible solutions to diverse problems.
Why is promoting the circular economy so necessary?
I believe circular economy means the future for mankind. If we would like to preserve our world for the next generations, we must go more green and reduce the amount of waste worldwide radically. Circular economy has a huge potential from this point of view, as by expanding the life time of products, longer use becomes possible instead of throwing them immediately away. We need to seek for CE opportunities in case of products and companies in order to save the globe.
What is the most important thing you have learned during the training? How do you plan to share and use your knowledge?
The best part of the training where I learned the most important thing was getting to know strategies about the creation of longer-lasting products and what business values one can have when dealing with CE at a company. Since I am a business student, I find the business perspectives of the material really beneficial for the development of my understanding in this topic and combining them with business purposes.
