This Friday Asociación PROJUVEN had a pleasure to visit the Spanish students from the Faculty of Education of University of Malaga. The visit was incredible opportunity to meet local youngsters with the foreign young participants hosted by PROJUVEN in the framework of the Erasmus Plus project “#Refugeeswelcome”.
During the event, the participants involved in the Training course had a chance to present their organization and their daily work, and debate with the university students on topics such as social inclusion, integration, intercultural differences between countries. In the meeting were presented people of nine European countries as Italy, Germany, Hungary, Austria, Bulgaria, Greece, France, Romania and Spain. The mix of countries affected from the Refugees crisis was incredible good, based on the experience which every one of them were faced in the last years. This meeting helped us to raise awareness on refugee topic in general and discuss today`s social problems.
The students were also very interested from the opportunity which the Erasmus Plus programme offers to young people in general. Most of them didn´t know how many chances they have to get to know people from different countries, know their culture, improve their English, etc. Youngsters were introduced to different non-formal activities and the idea and structure of the youth exchanges, seminars, training courses and different volunteers programme.
